App for Reading Grade 2 Braille Files on iOS

I’ve just been alerted to an iOS app called Voice Braille Reader which offers the capability to read Grade 2 Braille files. This is great news, as BARD offers many of its Braille titles for download and many of them are not available in audio format. As the files are in Grade 2 Braille, the only way to read them properly on an iOS device with speech output was to run them through a Braille translator first. This is workable except that many people can’t afford Duxbury and the free WinBT translator, based off of NFBTrans, is not widely known. Braille display users could read the files but speech users would have needed a Braille translator. This app should eliminate the need for a third-party translator. It costs $14.99.
