GW Micro Offering Accessibility Assessments

This new service is such a smart move and makes so much sense that I wonder why I never thought of such a thing earlier.
Today, GW Micro took another step and did something beyond what a typical manufacturer of screen readers usually offers. Their latest announcement indicates that they are offering assessments to determine the accessibility of your Web site, software, documents or other electronic information technology. The producers of the free NVDA screen reader offer consulting services on software accessibility but GW Micro is offering a bit more. It’s their second brilliant move and they certainly have the qualifications to do it. Back in January, they rocked the industry with their announcement that the Window-eyes screen reader would be free for users of Microsoft Office 2010 or later, which I still say will cause a major shift in the assistive technology industry.
